Although this is not a classical japanese pattern, I will categorise it so, because there are so many patterns in Japan similar to this one, used for origami papers and more. There is only one element in this design, and four of them combines into a flower. The initial design has some degree on it and the repeat size is times bigger than this one. The inital part is a leaf, as with patterns #62-66, however this one has the feeling of Japanese design and its serenity. I am sure this one would be an background pattern for a kimano or even an origami paper. Updated: 2008-09-08 04:50:24
