Although this is not a classical japanese pattern, I will categorise it so, because there are so many patterns in Japan similar to this one, used for origami papers and more. There is only one element in this design, and four of them combines into a flower. The initial design has some degree on it and the repeat size is times bigger than this one. A true Indian pattern, however this one is totaly my creation, the pattern is new but it still carries repeating style of the old indian patterns, I also thought a bit of fractal style and used only one vectoral shape and scaled it to create this pattern. Updated: 2008-09-08 03:02:37

Inspired by indian design, this is not a traditional pattern, it differs by spacing and by detail, this one is a very simple leafsets repeating, the way they arranged gives a hipnotic feeling as it creates an optical illusion. Updated: 2008-09-08 03:26:40

I will categorise this one as Indian as well even if it may seem far away from Indian design, however, both the basic element and the allignment of patterns are very Indian, this pattern is a totaly new pattern by me. Updated: 2008-09-08 03:40:17

This is not a classic Greek pattern at all, I am classifying it as Greek because it resembles patterns from ancient Greece where the leafes and dots are heavily used. Updated: 2008-09-08 04:15:37

The inital part is a leaf, as with patterns #62-66, however this one has the feeling of Japanese design and its serenity. I am sure this one would be an background pattern for a kimano or even an origami paper. Updated: 2008-09-08 04:50:24
